The ‘Buddy System’ involves Year 7 pupils being paired with new Year 5 pupils for the academic year.

It is specifically designed to help our Year 5 pupils acclimatise during those first tentative months in a different environment and know that they have a friend to turn to if needed. The ‘Buddies’ meet at least once a month to chat, work or play together.

We believe this initiative helps develop a sense of community through establishing social bonds across the year groups and nurturing a sense of responsibility in our older pupils.
