Years 7 and 8:
Mixed ability groups of approximately sixteen pupils
What are the National Curriculum Attainment Targets?
There is one combined target:

How do we ensure your child is developing & progressing?
- Work is continuously monitored, discussed and reviewed by the subject teacher
- The previous modules, targets and levels are used by both the teachers and pupils to provide a focus for future improvement
- At the end of a topic pupils' work is assessed and feedback given in the form of a written target and/or comment
- Pupils' attainment levels are judged against National Curriculum level descriptors
- Attainment levels are recorded and tracked throughout the school and across phases
- Worksheets and books provide an ongoing visual record of pupils' approaches to planning and graphics
Homework
Researching a particular design idea, making a collage of items linked to the current project, gathering information on similar designs or rendering a final design on paper are homework tasks commonly set for technology.
