The Borough of Poole has a forum for parents and carers of children who attend Poole Schools’, this is known as ‘Poole Parents Voice’. These meetings are run by parents who chair and minute the meetings and also set their own agenda. This committee informs parents of current educational issues such as funding, examination results, new proposed policies and special educational needs.  Its aim is to ensure good two-way communication between parents/carers of school children and policy makers regarding education in Poole.

Broadstone Middle School is entitled to have two representatives on this committee.  If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact the school office either by telephone or e-communication.  We sincerely hope that we will be successful in obtaining volunteers.

The next meeting is to be held on Monday, 6th February 2012 in the Committee Suite, Civic Centre between 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm.  Please contact the school office if you wish to see the agenda or further information on this forum.

Thank you

Mrs J Hattemore

Chair of Governors
